Didar Khamza – bronze medal winner of world championship!
The junior judo team of Kazakhstan continues its successful participation in the world championship which is currently taking place in Miami.
As FDK.KZ informed, Bauyrzhan Zhauyntayev became a winner at this championship on the first day. The second day also brought its good results for the team of Kazakhstan. Didar Khamza won a bronze medal for the collection of the team at the tournament in the 66 kg category in which he participates. Didar won his first bout against Colombian Juan Tello by ippon and his second opponent was Austrian Christoph Wagner who also lost to Didar by ippon. The third match was more competitive but anyway he ended in our favor. It was against Russian Pavel Yershov dominated by Didar Khamza, as a result our wrestler scored yuko and then he had wazari. Later, Yershov still tried to change the flow of the bout but to no avail and Khamza even scored again convincingly winning the bout. The fourth match at the tournament was against Kobo Mchedlishvili from Georgia and it turned out to be a very tough bout for both sportsmen. Having scored yuko the Georgian wrestler managed to keep this advantage till the end of the match and he went on to become the champion of this category. Kazakhstani Didar Khamza, however, went on to become a bronze medal winner securing the victory against Uzbek Sukhrob Tursunov by ippon in 1.51 seconds.
Madiyar Boteke, another Kazakhstani judoka, lost his first bout against French Jalan Florimont in the 60 kg category.
Aigerim Amanzholova (52 kg) began the tournament quite well. She won her first bouts against a Puerto-Rican judoka and a Rumanian judoka, but then lost to Belarusian judoka Ulyana Minenkova in the extra period. As a result, Amanzholova was ranked seventh.
Kamshat Karasaikyzy (48 kg) won her first match against a judoka from Puerto-Rico by ippon in 29 seconds. Kamshat also had a good match against Hungarian Reka Pupp but the final decision was not in our favor.
Today, the competition for gold medals will begin among athletes participating in 73 kg and 81 kg categories among boys and in 57 kg and 63 kg categories among girls.
