Bauyrzhan Zhauyntaev has the first place in Judo World Championship among cadets
From the 8th - 11th of August the Judo World Championship among cadets was held in Miami (USA). 532 sportsmen from 79 countries took part in it.
A Kazakh cadet, judoist, Bauyrzhan Zhauyntaev, won the gold medal in the World Championship among cadets in his weight class (up to 55 kg) and became the first cadet from Kazakhstan who managed to achieve such a high result.
Bauyrzhan Zhauyntaev showed his will to win when he won the first fight with a sportsman from Peru – Patino Vilarga. And then, during the first minute, the Kazakh judoist’s excellent throw turned out to be fatal for his Ukrainian rival, Karo Maradyan. The next participant of the fight, an American Adonis Dias, had the same fate – he lost the quarterfinal fight with the ambitious Kazakh sportsman. And the victory in the final fight over the sportsman from Georgia, Erekle Arhozashvili, became the next step for Bauyrzhan on his way to the top of the honorable world pedestal.
The rest of the energy the Kazakh judoist reserved for the final fight. And it turned out to be for a reason. In the fight for “gold” Bauyrzhan had to meet with a rival from Italy, Elios Manzi, who had already been a silver medalist in the 2011 World Championship among cadets. Equal in strength, the rivals could not manage to show anyone’s superiority for four minutes, that’s why they received a notice. However, in golden score, i.e. extra time, on the 44th second Manzi blundered and got the second “shido”, due to which the winner of the Championship was found. The gifted Kazakh sportsman became the gold medalist.
In the first day in two other weight classes Kazakh judoists also managed to take places in the top ten. Kanat Seilhan (up to 50 kg) took the seventh place, and Adiya Sayin (up to 40 kg) – the fifth place.
