Relatives, supporters and friends gathered in Almaty airport to meet Kazakhstani Judo national team previous night, on September, 3.

Tired but glad about the meeting, sportsmen share their impressions and plans. Azamat Mukanov, silver prize-winner of the World championship, moved from sambo to judo two years ago. Judo Olympic status affected his decision a lot, according to Mukanov himself. And also there was a resolution to win the medals for Kazakhstani collection. Unfortunately, Azamat conceded to the Japanese Masasi Ebinum in final grapple.

Azamat’s silver medal is the only award, which was won by Kazakhstani national team. Due to this medal Kazakhstan took the 14’Th line in total rating.

The main favorite of the championship, who didn’t manage to reach final grapples, shared his impressions. Maksim Rakov in the weight class up to 100 kg lost to the future bronze holder the Czech Lukash Krpalek in the second round. According to Maksim’s words, he appeared after the trauma, and couldn’t restore his health back to normal, also the sportsman was confused about the new rules, because he missed a half of season. But the most important is that he has a time to rectify the mistakes and to get ready for a victory.
