​The Judo world championship: the fifth day

The fights of the World Judo championship (senior group) penultimate day were finished yesterday, on August, 30. The championship takes place in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) now.

Kazakhstani team was represented by three judokas. Islam Bozbaev in the weight class up to 90 kg overcame the Japanese Masasi Nishiyama – the bronze winner of London-2012 - at the 23’Th second of the second grapple. However in the third grapple Islam lost to the Lithuanian Karolis Bautsa.

Sportswoman Anara Seytimova in the weight class up to 78 kg lost to a rival from the Great Britain – Jemma Gibbons, in the first grapple. Dinara Kudarova (70 kg) in the first grapple defeated judoka Julia Pascal (American Samoa), but in the second grapple she lost to tatami host – Maria Portella.

Final fights in the following weight classes are carried out today, on August, 31: 78+, 100, 100 +.

National team is represented by the following judokas:

Gulzhan Isanova (78+ kg)

Maksim Rakov (100 kg)

Erzhan Shynkeev (100+ kg)
