Sergey Rakov: "If you ask me about defeats of Mukanov - this is not a commotion for me".

“TAK Astana Club” is a winner of the first international club judo tournament, which has been taken place in Kazakhstan. The head coach of the capital team Sergey Rakov told us about the results of the forum, tiredness of Azamat Mukanov, strong psychological stress on his trainees and many other things.

About the final grapple against the Ukrainian “CityCommerceBankTeam”. We made mistakes in some moments, therefore there was such the score (4:3). As for the situation with Shynkeev, who has been given a victory in the final grapple, I can say the following: I don’t like to comment on the work of referees, but if really taking into consideration the judo rules, so the opponent of Erzhan (Evgeniy Bondarenko – author’s note) has broken them indeed.

About the team’s performance on the whole. There is a debut of our “TAK Astana Club” at the tournament, which is debut in itself for Kazakhstan. This is club, international tournament. And there is a victory at once, even in uneasy grapple. This is excellent, indeed. And the tournament proved to be good. There was a lot of uncompromising attitude.

About the defeats of Azamat Mukanov. This is not a commotion for me. The expiring year was hard and eventful for him. He is tired and has not a good form now. Undoubtedly, Azamat will distinguish himself. But he simply should have a rest when a new training will start. On the other hand, he was fighting today and even overcame Georgiy Zantaraya, the world champion (2009) and the European champion (2011), in final grapple. He was just short of functional training. It was well seen that moral strength and technics were her to stay. It’s very difficult to fight after the world championship, moreover, if you fight at home, where everybody is waiting from you for the victory only. There is colossal psychological stress for the guys. The opponents come to Astana to earn money, but for us the most important fact is to defend not only our honor, but the state’s honor. This fact plays a big role, though many people don’t understand this. Why many guys were squeezed a little bit? It happened because they couldn’t manage with stress. Maxim Rakov even lost in one grapple because of the same reason (he conceded to Evgeniy Borodavko, “Riga Dome” – author’s note). What else the audience waits from the world champion? Only one thing.

About the legionnaires of “TAK Astana club”. Judokas from Uzbekistan Yakhiya Imamov, Erkin Domierov and Yuriy Krakovetskiy (Kyrgystan) helped us a lot today.

About the bullet wound of Islam Bozbaev. I don’t know what injury exactly he has got. We were at sessions. That’s all.
