There is the first medal at the world judo Grand-Prix in Tashkent! Aleksandra Podryadova (women’s group, up to 48 kg) took the silver medal at the first competitive day (she is on the left in the photo). She defeated the tatami host Kristina Kovaleva in semifinal, but lost to Shira Rishoni from Israel in the decisive fight.

In another weight class (up to 52 kg), the Kazakhstani team was represented by Olesya Kutsenko and Altynay Baltina. The last one lost in the opening match to Dildora Ubaydullaeva in the starting fight, the first one - after the defeat from the Brazilian Raquel Silva - reached the "repechages", where she lost to another tournament host Shaodat Supikhonova for access to the petite final.

Let us remind that Aleksandra Podryadova also won a silver medal, having lost to the Russian Kristina Rumyantseva in the final of the World Grand Prix in Almaty.
