On the 8th of August 2013 head coach of the Kazakhstan women’s national judo team Zhake Salamatov officially announced the list of judoists who will stand for the honor of our country in the World championship in Brazil.

The staff of the women’s national team is quite experienced. Two participants of the London Olympiad Gulzhan Isanova and Alexandra Podryadova will go for the Championship in Brazil.

In such a manner, two sportswomen in the weight category up to 48 kg will take part in competitions in Rio-de-Janeiro: Aigul Bakuleva and Alexandra Podryadova. Lenariya Mingazova will perform in the weight category up to 52 kg. Dinara Kudarova will be representative of the Kazakhstan national team in the weight category up to 70 kg. Judoist Anar Seitimova will compete In the weight up to 78 kg, Gulzhan Isanova - in the category over 78 kg.

In the remaining days till the world championship the women’s national team will train intensively in Taldykorgan and Almaty. As the head coach explained, he set to work only in December while the general physical form of judoists was below average. Thus, due to upcoming Championship of the World, Kazakhstan women’s national team almost didn’t take part in the World Cup series. The trainer preferred intensive practices in order to bring sportswomen in the good shape before the beginning of the World Championship. In total, during six months Kazakhstan judoists participated only in the tournament in Czech Republic and Championship of Asia where the team became third in the contest.

According to the trainer, half-year is not enough for judoists to count on medal places in Brazil and even if they get into the top five it will be a good result. But, as Zhake Salamatov said, the girls have a chance to fully recover by the end of the year, and the next year to participate at the international level.

Judo World Championship will be held on the 26th-31st of August in the capital of Brazil – Rio-de-Janeiro.
