The World Championship is finished for Islam Bozbayev
The leader of Kazakhstan's national team in the weight category under 90 kg - Islam Bozbayev won the first fight against Diego Barreto from Australia. He withdrew from this year’s main competitions on judo as he lost by “ippon” to the European Championship medalist Alexandre Iddir.
“I was prepared for this championship in a good form, - Islam said after the competitions. – We developed the strategy together with my coach, studied rivals, but this crush by “ippon” surprised me. I did not expect that and I am very disappointed."
Thus, all four representatives of the Kazakhstani national team, who started on the fifth day of competitions, were eliminated in the preliminary round of the championships. Matches on the tatamis in the weight categories under 90 kg among men and under 70 and 78 kg among women are continuing.
