Last Sunday the international junior judo tournament in memory of famous judoka, master of sports of USSR Bakhytzhan Tashmetov took place in Taraz.

The competitions are carried out for the sixth time, gradually spreading its geography and increasing participants' level. This year national teams from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Russia participated in the tournament. Judokas appeared in nine weight classes, more medals won those sportsmen from Kazakhstan, who represented Zhambyl region. The second line in total team event is taken by the national team from Kazakhstani capital, and the «bronze» has been taken by the Russian judokas.
