Breathe, baby!
Today the fifth charitable race, organized by British-Kazakh society with assistance of Astana city administration, has started today in the capital of Kazakhstan.
Semimarathon in Astana has not only sport purposes. The race is the event for means collection to implement different charitable projects. Means, collected during British-Kazakh society semimarathon in Astana and the race in 10 kilometers in Almaty, hold in 2012, were sent to implement the «Breathe, baby – Petropavlovsk» project of «AYALA» charitable fund. Medical equipment was bought for Petropavlovsk regional perinatal center, child’s resuscitation to the amount of 15 460 905 tenge. This equipment helped medical stuff to save tens lives of preemies and babies with different pathologies.
Organizers of British-Kazakh Society races, which had become traditional, estimated the effectiveness of «Breathe, baby» project. In 2013, all means, which will be collected during preparation and carrying out of British-Kazakh Society semimarathon in Astana, races in 10 km in Almaty and London have been decided to send for implementation of «Breathe, baby – Uralsk» project. Equipment price, planned to buy for child’s resuscitation department of Uralsk regional perinatal center, is 18 285 500 tenge.
Charitable semimarathon in Astana, organized by British-Kazakh Society, is once again supported by the stars of Kazakhstani sport – Iliya Iliyn, Islam Bayramukov, Yuriy Melnichenko, Akzhurek Tanatarov, Daniyar Eleusinov, Merey Akshalov, Askhat Zhitkeev, Arman Chilmanov, Feruza Ergeshova, Nursultan Mamaev, Beybit Ystybaev, Maria Grabovetskaya and many others. Some of them participated in the race, and before this they were willingly giving the autographs and taking photos with participants and guests of British-Kazakh Society race.
The main organizer and ideological inspirer of charitable races carrying out is the Executive Director of British-Kazakh Society Gaukhar Bramley-Fenton says: «Within our powers, we contribute to the development of charitable races at the streets of main Kazakhstani cities for the fifth years, and we are glad that our initiative has been adopted with enthusiasm and developing with the assistance of city administrations, sponsors and race participants. Now it’s easier to enumerate the cities, perinatal centers of which have not got the modern equipment to render a high technological medical assistance to newborn babies yet. «AYALA» fund is gratitude to everyone, who has helped to implement the «Breathe, baby» project, as well as in many other medical and humanitarian fund initiatives» – vice-president of «AYALA» charitable fund Zhangeldy Sarsenov said.
Director of regional perinatal center of Uralsk Nikolay Borisovich Dmitrienko noted: «We have heard about the «Breathe, baby» project of «AYALA» charitable fund from our colleagues from different Kazakhstani regions. Our medics are very glad for their Almaty colleagues after study courses in perinatal center of the South capital. There is much equipment in Almaty perinatal center, which has laconic plate «Donation of «AYALA» charitable fund». We are impatiently waiting, than the equipment with such plates will be in our department of child’s resuscitation».
British-Kazakh Society carried out its first race in 2009 in Astana to 7 km, and during the las two years this distance has become a semimarathon. Organizers plan to bring races to the marathon distance and make them as famous and prestige as marathons in London, Boston, and Tokyo and in many other cities of the world. The sponsors of charitable British-Kazakh Society semimarathon in Astana are «Air Astana» airline, KIOGE Company, ENRC and «Tekhnodom» shop. The partners of semimarathon are World Class fitness-center, Radisson SAS hotel, «Asem Ay Saryagash» water and Confederation of combat and strength sports.
