Marat Saruarovich you brought Asian champion Akmaral Nauatbek, who continues to show good results not only at national but also at international tournaments, so how did you meet Akmaral?

- I coached children at the Sports Palace "Alatau" in Astana. One day in October 2010, was a set of young men and women to practice judo, among them was Akmaral. After two months we spent in the club competition, she became a champion. I coached 15 girls at that time. The first international tournament for Akmaral held in Russia. At that time in Kazakhstan judo in this age group did not differ very popular in this regard, I decided to take her to Barnaul, where she won 3rd place. Akmaral was very upset. It should be noted that at the time Akmaral weighed 26kg, and performed at the weight of 32 kg.

Then we went to Omsk, this was her second tournament of international level, she is trained very hard to this tournament, and promised to all of us to become a champion. Indeed, she won the gold medal. Then we participated in national competitions. The first championship was held in Kazakhstan in Taraz city, where she was underweight by 3 kg, as a result she became the second. After that, she participated in several national championships. Today Akmaral is a five-time champion of Kazakhstan in weight up to 44 kg among juniors. This year, she won a ticket to the World Cup.

What can you say about Akmaral as an apprentice? ...

- She is very hardworking and responsible person. Do not miss a workout, even in extremely cold weather . She has a very strong character, maximum laid out in training, performs all charges. Today Akmaral Nauatbek is my ward, I am very proud of her.

Tell us about yourself, how you came in judo?

- I grew up in Russia, in the Kurgan region. We did not have training to fight, and we are mainly engaged in competitive sports. I participated in the competition in the national team in volleyball and basketball in school years. After school, I entered in a sports college, after graduating worked as a teacher at the school, organized a parallel section and began to teach the fight. In 2003-2004, my students became champions of the field in sambo and judo. My grandparents always wanted that I live in Kazakhstan. So in 2005 I decided to move to Astana, arrived in the capital, one month I taught in the school, then I opened the hall in the sports complex "Alatau".

How do you attract the children to their classes?

- Usually in 1-2 grades students go to the counsel of parents. And in 5-6 classes they are more independent. At this age, they are mainly interested in playing sports. Also, a lot of guys can not stand the load, so the lessons we take the time to games. During the weekend we're going, we drink tea, celebrate birthdays, meet, communicate. Those guys who were trained with us before, often come and coach for yourself.

How do you think, is this kind of sport popular among girls?

- I think that the interest from girls more than from boys. When I ask why they take up judo, they answer that for self-defense.
