On March 6, 2015, annual open Republican Judo Tournament for the Cup of the ENU Rector Yerlan Sydykov was held at the Eurasian National University. More than 100 athletes from 13 teams of the state universities competed for prize.

Sporting event was organized by the Eurasian National University in cooperation with the National Scientific and Practical Centre of Physical Education the MES of the RK, the Tourism Administration, Physical Culture and Sports of Astana and Kazakhstan Judo Federation.

The opening ceremony was held at the sports complex "Eurasia" with the participation of the chairman of the sports club of the ENU Aidos Uranhaev, Executive Director of the Judo Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Samat Zhylkybaev and others.

Guests paid tribute to the development of judo in the Republic of Kazakhstan and thanked the Rector of the Eurasian National University Yerlan Sydykov.

After the official part of the event athletes of the teams Eurasian National University and E.A. Buketov Karaganda State University reached the final.

From the ENU: world-class athlete, champion of Kazakhstan, a finalist of the World Cup 2013 Dastan Ukibaev, champion of Kazakhstan in judo, a member of the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakdaulet Sabitov, world-class athlete, champion of Asia of kazaksha kures Bekzat Manasbaev.

In a short time the Eurasian National University with a score of 4: 1 forged ahead, having won the first place, the Rector's Cup and a prize of five hundred thousand tenge.

Silver and three hundred thousand tenge received team of Karaganda State University, which showed itself worthy for the competition.

Third place and a cash reward - a hundred thousand tenge - teams of Almaty and Astana PKC. A total prize fund was one million tenge.
