13:36 | 25 august 2014

The Judo World Championship started in Chelyabinsk (August 25-31).

Out of three Kazakh wrestlers, who fighted in the first day of competition, only Aibek Imashev (60 kg) continues to compete for the medal.

In the subgroup (Pool D), he confidently passed Mohammad Mohsen (Palestine), Grigor Ivanian (Armenia), Diyorbek Urozboev (Uzbekistan), but stumbled in the battle for the semifinal - he was not stronger than the Mongolian Boldbatar Ganbat. The opponent of Imashev on the comforting fight will be known later.

Erkebulan Kosaev (60 kg) in the first fight lost to Gevorg Gevorgyan (Ukraine) and Meruert Imangalieva (48 kg) lost to Monica Ungureanu (Romania).
