The World Judo championship continues

08:00 | 30 august 2013

The fourth weight group grappled for the right to take prize-winning pedestal places yesterday on the day fourth, on August, 29, at the World Judo championship (senior group) in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Kazakhstani team was represented by the only one sportsman - Dauletkhan Zhakypov. Unfortunately, our judoka didn’t manage to pass elimination round, having finished the first grapple with the judoka from Iceland, Sweinburn Iura, with ippon. However, in the second grapple Dauletkhan conceded to the Swiss Robin Pasek, who got “vasari” estimation. Thus, Dauletkhan finished the competitions.

Today, on August, 30, there are the following judokas, who will go on tatami:

Islam Bozbaev (90 kg)

Dinara Kudarova (70 kg)

Anara Seytimova (78 kg)

Let us remind that Kazakhstani judokas reached TOP-8 of the best World sportsmen during three contest days: Eldos Smetov and Askhat Telmanov (August, 26) took the seventh line in the total rating in their weight classes, Azamat Mukanov won the “silver” of the World championship on August, 28, Dastan Ykybaev took the fifth line in the total weight rating.

You can watch the fights in online regime on ippon.org web-site at 7 p.m. (on Astana time)
