The World Judo championship first day
The main event in Judo world – the World championship (senior group) starts today, on August, 26, in Rio de Janeiro. Kazakhstani national team in the full squad and fighting trim is waiting for their appearance on tatami.
The national team is represented by the following judokas:
Askhat Telmanov (60 kg)
Eldos Smetov (60 kg)
Aygul Baykuleva (48 kg)
Aleksandra Podryadova (48 kg)
In the first combat Askhat Telmanov meets with a rival from Australia, Eldos fights with a Swiss sportsman.
Aygul competes with an opponent from Brazil in the first combat, Aleksandra meets with a judoka from Turkey.
Kazakhstani supporters can watch the contests in on-line regime on ippon.tv web-site, or on KAZsport TV channel. The combats start at 7 p.m. on Astana time.
