Today in Aktau started Asian Judo Open Cup
Today in Aktau the Asian Judo Open Cup devoted to memory of Turar Zholdybayev started. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy akim of Mangystau region Kanybek Zhumashev, sports Director of the Asian judo Union David Carter, General Secretary of the judo Federation of Kazakhstan Askhat Zhitkeev, acting head of the Department of sports and physical culture of Mangystau region Nurlan Dzhalimov, President of the judo Federation of Mangystau region Asylbek Zholdybayev.
On the first day of the competition men in the weight category up to 60, 66, 73 kg, women in the weight category up to 48, 52, 57 and 63 kg. At the end of the first day the Russian Federation team with 3 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals took the team place. And the national team of Kazakhstan took the second place with 3 gold, 4 bronze medals, the athletes of the Hong Kong national team, who won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal having finished top three.
