Another medal was gained by the Kazakh junior judo national team
On the second day of the Judo World Championship among cadets held in Miami (USA) the Kazakhstan national team won one more medal. This time Didar Hamza, contesting in the weight class up to 66 kg, won “bronze”. Didar showed his decisiveness even in the first fight when with ippon he won his rival from Columbia, Juan Tello. The same bright and absolute victory was also achieved by the Kazakh sportsman in the next fight, in which judoist from Austria, Christopher Wagner, was prostrated by our sportsman. Pavel Ershov had the same fate, though for that time Didar won with the scores “yuko” and “wiza-ari”. But the semi-final fight with a representative from Georgia turned out to be above the strength of the Kazakh judoist. Koba Mchedlishvili fought hard unwilling to give way. And as a result, that all-out fight finished not in favor of our sportsman who fought, as it turned out to be later, with the future World Champion in his weight class. But in the fight for the third place Didar clearly defined his aim and at the 2nd second he achieved a slashing victory with ippon over his rival from Uzbekistan, Suhrob Tursunov.
Representatives of the fair sex also had a good beginning. Judoists, Aigerim Amanzholova and Kamshat Karasaikyzy started brightly and showed amazing results in the first fights. In such a way, Aigerim Amanzholova in her weight class headily won first two fights with the representatives from Puerto Rico- Paolo Acevedo and from Rumania – Theodora Balasoiu. But the third fight appeared to be more difficult and during the extra time judoist from Belorussia, Yuliana Minenkova, snatched a victory from our sportswoman who finally took honorable seventh place in the general total event.
Natasha Roza from Puerto Riko also felt the Kazakh judoist’s will for victory. The young debutant, Kamshat Karasaikyzy won the Puerto-Rican at the 29th second in the weight class up to 48 kg. The result of the next fight was decided only according to warnings: our judoist had one more warning than her rival from Hungary, Reki Pup, had.
In the weight class up to 40 kg Adiya Sayin took the fifth place in the final protocol, while Aigerim Amanzholova, Kanat Seilhan (50 kg) and Nikolay Gubankov (up to 90 kg) took the seventh place.
There were 16 sets of medals – “gold”, “silver” and two “bronze” - in the Championship held in Miami. 530 cadets from all over the world took part in the World Competition.
