"Grand Slam": the choice of Ermek Imambekov

The Licensed judo tournament “Grand Slam”, final in this season, will be carried out from November, 29 to December, 1 in Japanese Tokyo, as press service of Kazakhstani Judo Federation reports.

Kazakhstan will be represented by the best judokas of men’s national team under the guidance of Ermek Imambekov and Vladimir Kichatov:

- Eldos Smetov, Askhat Telmanov (60 kg)

- Azamat Mukanov, Eldos Zhumakanov (66 kg)

- Artugan Torenov (73 kg)

- Dauletkhan Zhakypov, Bekzhan Abdualiev (81 kg)

- Maxim Rakov (100 kg)

- Erzhan Shynkeev (+100 kg)

Sergey Lim (66 kg), Dastan Ykybaev (73 kg) and Islam Bozbaev (90 kg) will miss this tournament.

The schedule of “Grand Slam”:

November, 29, Friday (the first day of competitions)

10:00 – the contests in weight classes up to 48 kg, 52 kg and 57 kg (women’s group) and weight classes up to 60 kg and 66 kg (men’s group)

13:30 – opening ceremony

15:30 – final block

November, 30, Saturday (the second day of competitions)

10:00 - the contests in weight classes up to 63 kg and 70 kg (women’s group) and weight classes up to 73 kg and 81 kg (men’s group)

15:30 – final block

December, 1, Sunday (the third day of competitions)

10:00 - the contests in weight classes up to 78 kg and upper 78 kg (women’s group) and weight classes up to 90 kg, 100 kg and upper 100 kg (men’s group)

15:30 – final block

The drawing, which will define the first opponents of our sportsmen, takes place on November, 28.
