​Esentaev replaced Kozhagapanov

Tastanbek Esentaev was appointed as the Chairman of the Agency for Sports and Physical Education, as Vesti.kz reports.

On November, 22, the Prime Minister Serik Ahmetov presented the new head of the sports department to the staff of the Agency. The prime minister thanked the former chairman Erlan Kozhagapanov (pictured) for the work done and in his turn, Esentaev promised to make every effort to bring Kazakh sport to a new level.

Tastanbek Esentaev was born in 1960 in West Kazakhstan region. He graduated from Karaganda Pedagogical

Institute, with the degree in “The initial military training and physical education", and also from the Kazakh and Russian University, with the degree in "Jurisprudence". Also, he passed the training course on the “Thai boxing” at the University of Thai boxing in Bangkok. Honored coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Master of Sports in Sambo and a black belt in kickboxing.

During his professional career, Tastanbek Esentaev was working as a teacher of physical education, as a Thai boxing and kickboxing coach, he also headed the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Karaganda region and Sport Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. Recently he was the Vice-Chairman of the Agency for Sports and Physical Education.

It should be noted that the predecessor of Tastanbek Esentaev, Yerlan Kozhagapanov, worked as chairman of the main sports department for less than a year.
