Sensation in women's group
The judo championship of Kazakhstan finished in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The best tatami masters in the weight classes up to 48 kg (women’s group) and 60 kg (men’s group) were found on the third competitive day. Finally, Aygul Baykuleva (Aktobe region), who sensationally defeated the leading judoka of the national team Alexandra Podryadova (South Kazakhstani region) (pictured on the left) in the final fight, celebrated a victory in women’s group. In absentia of Eldos Smetov and Askhat Telmanov, who had to miss the state championship first because of injuries, Gabit Esimbetov had no rivals in men’s group. The representative of South Kazakhstani region was stronger than Gumar Kyrgyzbaev from Almaty in final grapple.

Zarina Roifova (Almaty) and Dauren Nuralinov (Eastern Kazakhstani region) became the champions in open-weight category. Earlier they both won the bronze medals in their official weight classes: Roifova (-78 kg), Nuralinov (+100 kg).
