The first club judo tournament started in the capital “Daulet” sport complex. We represent you the squads of team-participants.

“TAK Astana Club” (Kazakhstan) – Club of Olympic training center of Chelyabinsk (Russia)

The winner of the first pair Russia-Kyrgyzstan will fight with the Ukrainian “City Commerce Bank Team” club, the winner of pair Kazakhstan-Russia will meet with “Riga Dome”, the Latvian club.

Kazakhstani “TAK Astana Club” club is represented by the best judokas of the state, such as the following ones: Eldos Smetov (60 kg) – the world champion among juniors-2010, the winner of the World judo Grand-Prix in Almaty (2013), the prize-winner of the Asian championship-2013, Sergey Lim (66 kg) – the Asian champion-2012, the winner of prestigious tournament “World masters”-2013, Azamat Mukanov (66 kg) – the prize-winner of the Asian championship-2013, the silver winner of the world championship-2013, the world sambo champion, Maxim Rakov (100 kg) – the world champion-2009, the silver winner of the world championship-2011, the Asian champion-2009, the winner of prestigious tournament “World masters”-2012, the winner of the world judo Grand-Prix in Almaty (2013).

The tournament will be carried out in seven weight classes: - 60 kg, - 66 kg, - 73 kg, - 81 kg, - 90 kg, - 100 kg and +100 kg. The form of the competitions is “team-to-team”

Prize fund:

1 place: $50.000

2 place: $30.000

3 place: $20.000

“TAK Astana Club” is the organizer of the tournament.

Sergey Rakov, the head coach of “TAK Astana club”:

- The squad of participants is really good, nevertheless, we will try to win domestic tournament. Sport has been created for competing just for the first place.

Myktybekov Maratbek Samenbekovich, the first vice-president of Regional Social Organization “Judo Federation”:

- “TAK Astana club” started working in June of this year. Leading judokas of the country, the members of Kazakhstani national team entered its squad.

The main purpose of the club is to develop the club judo system in Kazakhstan and to achieve high results at the world, Asian championships and Olympic Games.

Now the club has plans concerning the opening the judo school. According to the Letter of President to the people of Kazakhstan, on December, 14, 2012, healthy way of life is exactly the key which will lead to the nation’s health. The school will be opened for youth from schools and universities of Astana, for everybody who wishes to be engaged in judo.

Besides, entering of “TAK Astana Club” the squad of Presidential professional sport club “Astana” will help to the further judo development in the state, namely to spread material and technical base, to create all conditions for increasing in coaching qualification and referees stuff.

As for the present tournament, so I’m sure that spectators, coming to the “Daulet” sport complex, will be pleased with a real show. The strongest guys will perform from our club, there are also the world champions, the participants of Olympic Games, Russian champions in the capacity of guests.

Of course, there could be more participants of Astana tournament, but many world clubs, which were invited for the competitions, had to refuse us, because they all had tight schedule.
