The first club tournament started
The fights of the first club tournament (men’s group) started in the “Daulet” Sport complex in Astana.
The competitions are carried out in seven weight classes (60 kg, 66 kg, 73 kg, 81 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg и +100 kg) in “team-to-team” format.

The teams of Judo Club of Riga – Latvia
The team of Judo Club of Bishkek – Kyrgyzstan
The team of Judo Club of Chelyabinsk – Russia
Kazakhstani team is represented by such famous judokas as Eldos Smetov, Sergey Lim, Azamat Mukanov and Maksim Rakov.
According to the results of drawing the sportsmen will perform against the Olympic training Club (Chelyabinsk, Russia). Then, in the case of victory, Kazakhstani judokas will meet with opponents from the Latvian “Riga Dome”.
Official opening ceremony takes place at 18.30.
The winners of the tournament will get: $50 000 for the first team place, $30 000 for the second team place, $20 000 for the third team place.
