The world junior judo championship starts today in Ljubljana (Slovenia).

610 young tatami masters from 75 countries participate in the world championship, Kazakhstani national team is within the number of them headed by the coaches Nurbol Suleymenov and Zhanat Nurtazina. The first opponents of our guys are already known – Kazakhstani Judo Federation represent you the pairs.

One can watch the championship on ippon.tv web-site. Time difference between Ljubljana and Almaty is four hours (there is four hours less in Ljubljana than in Almaty)

The world youth judo championship is the last championship of this year – the world cadet championship has been carried out in Miami (the USA) at the beginning of August, where our compatriot Bauyrzhan Zhauyntaev has taken the first place in the weight class up to 55 kg. Azamat Mukanov took the silver medal at the world judo championship (senior group) in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) at the end of August, having won the strongest opponents in his weight class and conceded only in final to the Japanese sportsman Masasi Ebinuma, the world champion of 2011.
